U.S. sanctions two Chinese officials for human rights abuses in Xinjiang province

The U.S. joined Canada, the U.K., and the European Union in imposing sanctions against two Chinese officials who it said had been involved in human rights abuses. The officials were sanctioned for “serious human rights abuses against ethnic minorities” in China’s Xinjiang province, under the U.S.’s Global Magnitsky Act. (Read More)
