In the recently concluded ‘6+2+1’ meeting coordinated by UN of Afghanistan, its neighbours and the US and Russia, India was not included. However, India has huge interests in Afghanistan and has done more than any other country for the development of Afghanistan since America went to war with Taliban. Just recognising India’s ‘constructive contribution’ would not be helpful for Indian interests but including it in the meeting and other processes certainly would.
