The UNGA will go for election for 5 non-permanent seats in the UNSC. Seats for Mexico and India are guaranteed while Ireland, Norway and Canada would compete among themselves for 2 more seats. Africa and Djibouti will compete for the only seat reserved for Africa. Countries have curried favour to get a seat even if its non-permanent membership.
