The recent skirmishes in some districts of Telangana have highlighted the return of Maoist activities in the state. The article has highlighted these recent activities in the border districts of Telangana and also the Maoist Party’s attempts to revitalise the organisation in parts of the state from where it had retreated over a decade ago. It also highlights the measures taken by the security forces in curbing the spread while attempting to flush the Maoists out of their newly formed bases. In the end, the article highlights a brief description of the history of the movement of the party in the area and the series of a tussle between them and the security forces.
