Relevance:
India switched over to BS-VI fuel in April, 2020. After this changeover, only low-sulphur fuel which complies with the BS-VI norms would be available in the fuel station and vehicles which meet the stricter norms would be available in the showrooms. While this is good news with respect to reducction in pollution, automobile dealers have been unhappy about it probabaly due to the unsold vehicles manufactured under the previous norms. Also, Budget vehicles are losing power because of changes made to the engines.
