Supplementary Materials: Culture & Environment
Given our experience with Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), we have seen UPSC to ask questions of both Indian Art & Culture and Environment, both in Preliminary Examination and in Mains Examination, directly from the news reports or from the special supplements published by The Hindu.
Say, for example:
Q1-2019: Highlight the Central Asian and Greco-Bactrian elements in the Gandhara Art. – There was an article on this topic in The Hindu in July 2019 (Read the article here).
Q1-2017: How do you justify the view that the level of excellence of the Gupta numismatic (coin making) art is not at all noticeable in later times? – There was an article on this in February 2017 (Read the article here).
These are only two examples from the list of many. Especially with respect to Prelims, the list is huge. Given this, we are preparing compilations of these reports and special supplements of The Hindu to provide additional support to our Annual Subscribers.
