Solar Storm

Strong magnetic fields structure the outer solar atmosphere, known as the corona. The confined solar atmosphere can emit bursts of gas and magnetic fields, which is termed as solar storms or coronal mass ejections. The first solar storm was recorded in 1859, and it took around 17 hours for it to reach Earth.
