Rare scorpionfish found in Gulf of Mannar


A new species of the band-tail scropionfish was found from Setukarai Coast in Gulf of Mannar. As confirmed by CMFRI this fish is well known for its venomous spine which contains neurtoxin poison and the ability to change colour to blend in with its environment to escape predators and while preying.
