The problem of polluted river water has been exacerbated with the latest global assessment of what they call pharmaceutical pollution. The findings were published on Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.The medical concept of care and cure appears to have been binned with the detection of anti-diabetic, anti-epileptic, and pain-relieving drugs in river water in Delhi and Hyderabad, thus making a mockery of the prognosis of an ailment.
