Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) celebrated its second anniversary on September 22. The scheme provides free healthcare facilities to all citizens in India. Mr. Harsh Vardhan, the Union Health Minister, said that it is “the largest public-supported health assurance scheme” that benefits crores of Indians by providing ₹5 lakh health cover per eligible family in a year. The scheme was launched on 23rd September, 2018.
