New butterfly species seen in Visakhapatnam district

A study conducted by Appanna Saragada, E. Ramakrishna and Ramana Bhusala in the Eastern Ghats bordering Visakhapatnam and its urban ecological hotspots has found new species of butterflies. The newly recorded species include tree flitter, African marbled skipper, chestnut bob, chestnut angle, colour sergeant, fluffy tit and double banded crow. The findings also include three such species which fall under the protected (Schedule) category of Wildlife Protection Act (1972). They are tree flitter, orange tail awl, and marbled map.
