Recently The National Commission for Women (NCW) has registered at least 2.5 times in domestic violence complaints since the nationwide lockdown. The article rightfully displays the rise of domestic violence in the country while the country was going through the COVID-19 induced lockdown. Experts has also urged the need for government to plan and ensure support services to survivors, ensure implementation of laws against domestic violence, and conduct campaigns that highlight that domestic violence is a crime, unacceptable, and the state will take firm action against it. UN Women as well as UN Chief had urged governments around the world to put women safety first while responding to a pandemic.
