The Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) is a Government of India-funded Central Sector Scheme. The Scheme’s purpose is to enable MPs to promote development projects in their constituencies, with a focus on long-term community assets and basic amenities. The yearly MPLADS fund entitlement per Member of Parliament (MP) constituency is Rs.5 crore, which is distributed in two instalments of Rs.2.5 crore each, subject to the MPLADS Guidelines being met.
