The loan moratorium which was given during pandemic lockdown expired on August 31. Many individula borrowers and various sectors of commerce and industry including real estate, power and traders had urged the court for an interim order on extending the loan moratorium. In this context, on Monday government informed the Supreme Court that complexities concerning this issue are under active consideration.
