India and China have agreed for a timely and complete disengagement of troops along the LAC and also hold the next round of military-level talks to address the persisting border tensions. This followed the talks under the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on India-China Border Affairs. The WMCC has met twice in the last two weeks and sixteen times over the last eight years.
