Khalilzad hopeful about Doha talks, admits challenges

On September 12, the Afghan Peace negotiations commenced at Doha. US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad assumes this as a ‘historic opportunity’ to end four decades old conflict in the country and restore peace and stability in the nation which is essential for international investment and economic growth in Afghanistan.
