Kashmir figures in China, Pakistan dialogue

On Friday, China and Pakistan announced that they would firmly support each other on “key national interests,” as their Foreign Ministers addressed the topic of Kashmir in their annual strategic dialogue. China said that Pakistan was “the region’s greatest ally” and that it would “firmly help” the country “in safeguarding its territorial integrity, autonomy and freedom” and “in seeking a better future.” The Kashmir question was not stated in any of those remarks.
