
According to a Swachh Survekshan 2020 study released by the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry, Indore has been rated the cleanest city in the country for the fourth year in a row. Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Puri said Swachh Survekshan has been the world’s largest health survey in its fifth edition, with 1.8 crore people providing their input. The sanitation study in over 4,000 towns was performed over 28 days earlier this year. Speaking of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)- Urban, Mr Puri said it had a profound impact on health, livelihoods, quality of life, and behaviour that was handy in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The ministry has released the findings via a virtual event.
