India restricts Chinese companies from participating in public procurement bids

Recently the government of India has issued a order stating that any investments from countries sharing land border with India participating in government tenders will require approval from competent authorities on grounds of defense and national security of the country. This step was taken with aim curbing Chinese investments in Government projects, before this many tenders in which Chinese companies was participating were canceled and also 59 Chinese apps was banned all this steps were taken  as a retaliatory measures to Galwan Valley clash. This order will also be applicable to states under the Article 275 (1) of the constitution. This news is related to the topic India and its neighborhood relations of GS 2.
