India ranked 94 out of 107 countries in the Global Hunger Index 2020. The report was released annually by Concern Worldwide and Welthungerhilfe. The score is determined by using four indicators – undernourishment, child wasting, child mortality, child stunting. According to the report, almost 690 million people are undernourished throughout the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has also contributed in reducing the progress on attaining the SDG of Zero Hunger by the end of 2030.
