In defence of MPLADS


The Indian Parliament is a multi-functionary organisation which is the nucleus of the republic. The responsibility of MPs is also multi functional. The MPLAD scheme had enabled the MPs to play a leadership role in the developmental process of its constituency and sort out its day-to-day problems. The article criticises the government’s decision to suspend the MPLAD fund for two years and how it is going to effect the development process in the country  especially the marginalized section of the society.
