Recently India and France conducted Joint patrols from Reunion Island ,this exercise points out India ‘s intent to expand its footprint in Indian Ocean going to the extent of East Africa. India Ocean is stragically important for India as most of its trade passes through this ocean. China’s growing footprint in this region has been a concern for India.
