The ‘Cover Story’ section has been designed keeping in mind the requirement of looking in-depth into an aspect of the syllabus of Civil Services Examination, conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Secularism in India
The meaning of the word secularism, as we understand it in broader perspective, is promoting nationalism or a broader identity and creating a harmonious relation in between different communities as against the narrow, selfish, smaller group identity and loyalty.

Regionalism and its Growth in India
Regionalism as a word has been given a variety of meaning by different sections of mankind. Collins Dictionary says that by regionalism we mean “a strong feeling of pride or loyalty that people in a region have for that region, often including a desire to govern themselves.”
