‘Free media in India’: Centre replies to China over Taiwan coverage guidelines

Anurag Srivastav, the spokesperson of External Affairs Ministry, said that “There is a free media in India that reports on issues as it sees fit,”. The reply given in response to Chinese embassy’s email where it asked Indian media not to violate the “One-China” policy ahead of the national day of Taiwan. India-Taipei Association was set up in 1995 for promoting interactions between the two sides and to facilitate business, cultural exchanges and tourism.
