‘Far more water than previously thought’: NASA’s SOFIA finds water on Moon’s sunlit surface for first time

According to two new studies published in Nature Astronomy, there could be much more water including ice stored in permanently shadowed “cold traps” at lunar polar regions. As per researchers, the water might be trapped in glass beads, or some other kind of substance which protects it from the harsh lunar environment.
