Dead letter: On Chile referendum

Last Sunday, 78% citizens of Chile voted in favor of replacing or rewriting the country’s constitution which was introduced during the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. According to protesters it was the main obstacle in introducing economic and social reforms. Sebastián Piñera, the President of Chile had agreed to hold the referendum after the country was shaken by mass protests a year ago.
