Black carbon levels spike at Himalayan glaciers

According to a report Black Carbon Concentration near Gangotri glacier has rose by 400 times, due to burning of forest and stubble. Black Carbon is a result of Incomplete combustion of fossil fuel, it absorbs a million times more energy than Carbon Dioxide, it is the second largest contributor to Green house after CO2 but it is short lived.
