An unravelling of the Group of Seven


The G7 summit which was to be held in mid-June in Washington has been postponed at least till September. With talks going around about the expansion of G7 to G10 or G11 by including India, South Korea, Australia, and possibly Russia, the article talks about the history of formation, Economic circumstances, and limitations of G7. The article also highlights the need for a new institution giving the example of G20’s achievements and the limitations faced by G7 on key global issues.
