India has recently refused a meeting with Pakistan on issues around the IWT. While Pakistan wanted a physical meeting, the Indian side cited COVID-19 as a reason for its unavailability. The IWT meetings are procedural meetings between the two countries to discuss issues on the construction of dams and hydropower projects concerning the Indus river systems.
