Beijing based AIIB has approved a loan of $750-million to India to help strengthen its response to the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on poor and vulnerable people of the country. This loan which is also co-financed by Asian Development Bank will be used towards bolstering economic aid for businesses including the informal sector, social safety for needy, and strengthening the healthcare system.
