Relevance:
The world is facing a new nuclear arms race which is evident from the fact that two nuclear powered rivals, US and Russia, have terminated the treaties which was binding them against proliferation of nuclear weapons. The fact is true for other nuclear powered nations as well. In 2017-2018 the world was brought to the brink of a nuclear war by US and North Korea. US dropped out of the Iran Nuclear deal and irked Iran to enrich its uranium resources. Similarly China, Pakistan, Israel and India have continued testing and increasing their nuclear weapon pile in the name of deterrence.
